Bruce, the leader, instrumentalist, and ordained Baptist minister, began singing with his brother and two friends in the early 1970’s. He recorded his first, of what are today 26 albums at the age of 15, and was the winner of numerous talent and fiddling contests during his teen years. His “Pickin’ At The Parsonage” series is heard on syndication as well as network television and radio nationwide. Bruce is currently serving as the student pastor for the Central & Eastern European division of the International Mission Board, holding retreats once each year in Europe. Bruce has been in full time, itinerate evangelism for 26 years, and preaching 30 to 35 revivals each year, for 22 of those 26 years. He recently spoke at the Southern Baptist of Texas Evangelism Conference.
Connie grew up singing in churches and concerts throughout the Southwest with her sisters in the WATTS SISTERS TRIO-while still in her teens she recorded her first album and appeared regularly on WALLY FOWLER Gospel promotions. Connie speaks at many ladies’ retreats.

After Bruce & Connie were married, the Northams was formed as a mixed group, merging two well-known groups, the Northam Brothers and the Watts Sisters Trio. For years the Northams traveled and touched lives limited by the confines of secular jobs. In 1981 they hired band members from the STAMPS SCHOOL OF MUSIC, and launched their full-time ministry. From 1981 - 1990 the Northams was one of the most popular young Gospel groups in Gospel music. From Seattle to Pittsburgh, Canada to Miami; they traveled 80 - 100 thousand miles each year singing in churches, concert halls, high schools, universities, barns and open air meetings almost every night. They have recorded over 26 albums and 4 videos, including five for national labels with national distribution. The Northams have won many awards, including top vocalist and favorite group awards.
